Hi All!
I am having an issue updating my dataset in PowerBi Service from a report I made in desktop where the data will not refresh (manually or scheduled). I have to re-publish the report from desktop every time I want to refresh the data in the service.
To give as much info as possible, I have an ODBC connection from Dynamics GP to Access, Access to Excel, and then Excel to Power Bi Desktop. All files are stored within my OneDrive, and I am using a personal gateway. Interestingly enough, I have another report that only uses Excel as a data source and updates just fine.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
Hi hmesser,
Is it an option to directly connect the database to powerBI via ODBC? Why all the steps in between?
Kind regards,
Jroelands
Unfortunately, no. I use Access because it has better functionality when it comes to querying data (at least in my case). I used Excel to add a calculated column because I could not figure out how to replicate the formula using DAX.
Thanks!
