We are looking for a solution, where there is a way to prompt users to enter their database credentials to view or edit the published workbooks.
Though Power BI provides a way to implement Row-Level Security based on the below link:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-admin-rls
However, it doesn't fulfill the requirements completely.
We are looking forward to a solution.
Hi. By default only direct query can follow security from power bi to the database source for the loged user. However I recently have read an article to keep your database security with imported datasets. I think the only problem is that it needs premium if you want to hide tables from users.

I hope that helps, otherwise you can just limit rows with RLS.
Happy to help!
