Invalid connection credentials

Hi, 

I built a report, running good on desktop, and I have a on premise gateway, the gateway is working good with the data source. the report is using MS SQL database, gateway test connection is good.

but after I published the report, it always show Invalid connection credentials, can anyone help, thanks.

I rebuilt the report, change data connection from Direct query to Import, then it is worked. not sure what is the reason.

@naivecalf , I doubt this is an issue with the gateway.

Can you please check these troubleshooting steps, if not done already?
