Hi,
In august 2023 it was made possible to not only create pivot tables in Excel from a semantic model but also a table:
Announcing new ways to create connected tables in Excel connected to Power BI | Microsoft Power BI B...
However now this functionality is gone in my setup. I have Excel build 17126.20190 and admin in the workspace with the semantic model. It is a pro workspace and I am also a pro license user. I am trying via the Excel desktop app (not web).
Why is this not working anymore?
Thank you.
I am having a similar issue on Version 2312 (Build 17126.20190 Click-to-Run) Monthly Enterprise Channel
Hi @KasperJ90 ,
I test it in my environment, it works well.
Please check the updates for excel, update for excel, then try it again.
Here is a same case you could refer: No longer able to 'Insert Table' from Power Platfo... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Hi @KasperJ90
Could it be this limitation :
The Insert Table option is rolling out to Excel Desktop users incrementally. It won’t be available immediately in Excel for the web

Hi @aj1973
