Hey everyone,
I am trying to visualize time series data from web sources, like for example the euro exchange rates published by the ECB as an RSS Feed. The data is extracted from the xml file. However, the published data only contains the values of the past few days, as you can see in the picture.
I implemented an incremental refresh, so past values (past 1 year) would be stored and only current values (past 1 week) would be refreshed. The incremental refresh has been set up as described here.
If I upload the report to Power BI Service and set up a scheduled refresh, the data will be refreshed, but past values will not be stored.
As a test, I tried to use a locally stored Excel sheet as data source instead and with this, it worked.
Does anybody have an idea on why it doesn't work? Or is there any other solution to store the historical data?
Thank you in advance,
Zoe
P.S. I am using a Pro licence
Hi @v-zhangti,
thanks for your quick response.
I configured the incremental refresh settings in Power BI Desktop, but still get the warning message, which says that the query might not be foldable:
Since its not a SQL query I am not sure how to enable the "View Native Query" button (as explained in the link you sent).
If you need any other information, let me know.
Thanks for your help and best regards,
Zoe
Hi, @Anonymous
Have you configure incremental refresh settings on the power bi service?
