Incremental Refresh Deployment Issue

I have incremental refresh configured in one of my datasets, it is working fine in both DEV and STAGE. But when I deploy it to Production, the incremental refresh configuration doesn't work. I don't see partitions when I verify in SSMS.

Am I missing something here or how do I fix this?

Hi, @Anonymous

According to your description, incremental refresh doesn't work when you configure production environment.

You can try to check the following:

(1) Check whether the variables "RangeStart" and "RangeEnd" configured in Desktop are correct and whether the configured incremental refresh strategy is configured correctly. For specific configuration steps and conditions, please refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/incremental-refresh-configure.

(2) We can try to troubleshoot the cause of the failure of incremental refresh in "Sql Server Profiler" in SSMS. You can refer to the following documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/incremental-refresh-xmla#refresh-management-with-sql-server-management-studio-ssms

(3) We can open the advanced capacity XMLA endpoint mode, use tools such as Tabular Editor to connect to the dataset on the Service, and then investigate the cause of the failure of incremental refresh.

You can refer to the following documentation:    https://docs.tabulareditor.com/te2/incremental-refresh.html
