Hi All
We have premium workspace and implemented an increment refresh on our dataset as follows :
Data archive 1 year
Increment refresh 90 days
Assume I have published the pbix file on 1st Jan 2024 into the service .For the first time it did full refresh which takes time .My report showing data from 1sr Jan 2023 to 1st Jan 2024 which is correct.
Next day when schedule refresh happened it is showing data from 1st Jan 2023 till 2nd Jan 2024.
After 10 days refresh it showing data from 1st Jan 23 till 10th Jan 24.
May I know why it's still showing data from 1st Jan 23? I have one year archive so it should show last one year data only?
I checked the partition and it is not refreshing the archive data..
Please help if you encounter any such issue.
@Anonymous I could be mistaken but I believe this is the intended behavior. By specifying a 1 year archive, then that will be its own partition which will be flagged not to refresh. New partitions are added at the time of subsequent data refreshes but the original data archive will not update (and hense will not drop rows).
Thanks ,is their any way to drop the extra data and to show only last 1year data on subsequent refresh ..
If I do schedule refresh on 14th Jan 24 then my data should be from 15th Jan 23 to 14th Jan 24 only
@Anonymous I believe that you would set the Archive to 365 days which should create an archive partition for each day and then 1 archive day partition will be dropped on each new refresh day. I *think*.
