How to show streaming data with colorful dashboard with Power BI Azure Streaming

Hi Everyone,

I'm using Power BI Pro and working on Azure Streaming. I have created an Stream Analytics JOB which update the data after every 2 seconds and sink it with Power BI.

  1. I have created Custom Stream Data tile from Dashboard it's working fine for me but here i can't change the color of individual tiles. I don't know why this option is not available for live streaming.
  2. Second thing, I've used same stream data set into the report and create 4 visuals then put some colors and pin the each visual into dashboard. But issue came in refresh rate of each pinned visual. All pinned visuals data's time is different from each other. Like some time 4th visual shows later result like delay of 4 seconds and some time 3rd and so on.
  3. 3rd thing that i have tried, i pin the whole report page into dashboard but that single tile didn't refresh automatically until i refresh the browser.

Is there any one here can help me. what should i do and where i'm wrong.
My end purpose is to show streaming data with colorful dashboard.

Thanks

Thanks @v-lid-msft

You really put good effort to help me. But my issue has been fixed 90% by increasing the ingestion time to 5 second and by applying sort to each visual by time stamp in descending order. Now pinned visuals not showing different time stamp.

But still after 10 or 15 occurrence two tiles shows the results on same time and similarly as 2nd two. Data result in pair of 2,2.

Really Strange 🤣.

I think i have to increase the ingestion time.

Hi @Shamsbutt ,

Sorry for late reply, for you first question, we does not find a way to change the theme of a tile created by Streaming Data.

For second question, we can not reproduce the issue, the different tiles are refresh at the same time,

Based on my test, If pin entire report as Live Page, we got the same result as  yours. It seems pin single Visual as a tile is an effective solution to achieve your requirement. But We can not produce the delay issue here,  we suggest you to open a ticket here for help if you are a pro user: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Please see below

I have single stream data set and pick last timestamp value.

Below are 4 visuals that i have created in report and pinned to dashboard. Just to remind my streaming data set is updating per second.

Hi @Shamsbutt ,

Could you please share what kind of visualization you used as the tile, we have tried the multi-row card but cannot pin it as tile with color.

Hi @v-lid-msft ,

I'm using Muti-Row Card. Just change background color of it and pin the visual to dashboard.

In visual level filter and put top 1 filter order by Time Stamp descending.

Hi @Shamsbutt ,

We pined the multi rows card visual with color to the dashboard by following your direction. But after apply the TopN Filter, we still cannot reproduce the weired delay issue, our tiles refresh at the same time.  Sorry for that, we suggest you to open a ticket here for further help if you are a pro user.
