How to make an existing report real time

Hi, 

I have created a report on Power BI Desktop. I have published it to Power BI Service but have not embedded to web. Now I want to make this report Real Time. I checked the article 

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-real-time-streaming/#create-your-s... but I am not able to figure out how to make an existing report/ an existing dashboard/ an existing dataset Real Time. Any help from anywhere?

Hi @amitabhk1971,

It's able to use Power BI REST API Create Dataset operation to create a streaming dataset. But we are not able to change existing dataset to use streaming dataset, you need to create dashboard tiles from streaming dataset or create a report after enable the Historic data analysis. In a word, you need to create a new dashboard to make data streaming from a streaming dataset. For detail information, please post a thread in Developer forum.
