Hi Community..!!
I want a option to export whole the report into Power Point which should be editable format.
Is this possible?
if not then please tell me other options as well.
please guide me how to raise this idea so Power BI team can implement this requirement and give us.
Thanks,
Prasad Patil
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you export to PPT you have the option to embed live data or export as images. These images can't be edited in the sense that you can't edit text etc.
You can try to export to PDF and then edit the PDF using a PDF editor, or converting the PDF to another format using something like Zamzar to get a DOCX format or something. In my experience this isn't the best solution since it will change font types, misplace images etc.
What we do for our clients that demand a DOCX format, we create a PBI report with A4 page sizing, then use visuals and smart narratives to fill the report, where we deliberately leave black spaces for later editing.
Then we export the report(s) to PPT, convert them to DOCX with Zamzar en finally add text boxes over the images wherever it is needed (rarely needed these days since we incorporate as much of the desired data in the PBI report itself).
Hi @Anonymous ,
Sorry, so far, to my knowledge, this may not be achieveable. @JGroothedde suggestions are good alternatives available to you.
You can submit an idea for it at Home (microsoft.com) and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.
Best Regards,
Neeko Tang

Hi @JGroothedde
Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately business needs the ppt to be editable directly after downloading it from workspace.
They do not want to play these many steps it seems..! 😐
let me try with some other options.
