How to duplicate a dashboard and save in another Power BI Workspace?

Dear community,

I have a Test dashboard which I want to copy / to move to another Power BI Workspace. However I do not see the option 'Dupicate dashboard' within '...More options'.

I also tried the option 'File --> Save a copy', but than I save a copy in the same Power BI Workspace and I do not know how to move it to another Power BI Workspace

Does someone have an idea how to solve? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Dashboards and reports are bound to the workspace you publish them to so you can't directly copy a dashboard from one workspace to another. You could look into the deployment pipelines feature. These would allow you to deploy your dashboards, reports, and datasets to other workspaces: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/deployment-pipelines-get-started?tabs=datas...

Tim

Hi @Anonymous,

There's no way to do that right now in the service.

You can do it with PowerShell, you can start here: Copy-PowerBITile and Get-PowerBIDashboard for example.

You can provide the TargetWorkspaceId to copy the tile to a new (already created) workspace.

If you have the DashboardId, you could loop through all the tiles and copy them over.
