How to create processed data using python or other library in power bi service?

Hello Team,

I have a JSON/CSV file and its is imported in PBI,

Table: search_data

date    termterm.count
1/1/2025  working time regul1
1/3/2025  working time              regulation1
1/8/2025  smart work1
1/12/2025  Smart Work1
1/13/2025  smart w1
1/19/2025  smart work1

I have to process the above table and need to create a processed table like below image,
As of now i am processing the data(.csv,.json) in the databricks side and creating the catalog(table) in databricks and connecting the tables via power bi.

I am using RapidFuzz library of Python in databricks.

How can i do it in the Power Bi Service? Is there any possiblity to create similar things here with out use of data bricks.

Hi @ssspk,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Community Forum.

Please follow below guidelines for achieving the desired result within Power BI Service without needing Databricks;

1. Leverage Power BI’s built-in Power Query Editor for text processing, like trimming, replacing, and matching terms using functions like Text.Contains, Text.StartsWith, and Text.EndsWith to clean and transform the data.

2.If you want to continue fuzzy matching with RapidFuzz, use the Run Python Script option in Power BI's Power Query. This allows you to apply the RapidFuzz library for fuzzy matching directly within Power BI.

3.After processing, use Power BI’s Matrix Visual to display the processed and grouped data, similar to the example you provided.
