Hi everyone,
In Power BI Desktop, I’ve created a matrix visual where the columns are managed using a field parameter, allowing users to rearrange the column positions dynamically.
In the Power BI Service, I can use Bookmarks to capture the state of the dashboard — such as field parameter selections or applied filters — and return to that state when the bookmark is selected.
However, we do not access the report directly in the Power BI Service. Instead, we view it through a Power BI Embedded setup (embedded on a website/portal).
My question is:
Is it possible to achieve similar bookmark functionality (capture and return to a saved state) in an embedded Power BI report?
If not directly supported, what alternative approach or solution can be used to achieve a similar result — for example, saving the user’s current filter selections or field parameter configuration and restoring them later?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hi @Mahendra_k ,
To enable the custom bookmarks you need to enable that feature on the embedded code:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/javascript/api/overview/powerbi/personal-bookmarks
Just setup the personalBookmarksEnabled to true
