The GUIDs of two reports with the same name will be different. This ID is part of the URL you see if you open a report or dataset in Power BI Services. The ID behind the path component "groups" represents your workspace. The ID behind the path component "report" represents your report. In case of a dataset the path component before the ID will be "dataset".
One option is to check these IDs. The other option is to use the lineage view of your workspace to check the relationships between reports and datasets.
Hi @jaryszek , in general Power BI Service allows reports with the same name in the same workspace. This usually happens if you publish a report with a different data set or if the dataset belonging to the report has been deleted at the server.
Hope that answers your question.
Hello,
So how is this identifying it? It is a report ID and if dataset is changed it is datasetID ?
When I am publishinf the same report with the same dataset it is always replacing it...
Best,
Jacek
