I seemed to have successfully created a gateway using the "Amazon RDS for Oracle" connection type. However, when I create a dataflow I don't see a similar data source that specifies Amazon RDS, so I choose the standard "Oracle database" source. When I copy the server/port/SID string from my gateway into the dataflow's "Server" field, the gateway doesn't automatically pop-up as an option to select. AKA the gateway is not recognized.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi @nrqz,
Thank you for posting your query in the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
As per my research in Power BI / Fabric Dataflows, there is no separate “Amazon RDS for Oracle” connector. Dataflows only support the generic “Oracle database” connector and gateway matching is done based on the data source type, not just the server/port/SID string.
Because the gateway was created using the “Amazon RDS for Oracle” data source type, it does not automatically map to the standard Oracle connector used by Dataflows, so the gateway won’t be recognized or offered for selection.
Configure the gateway using the standard “Oracle” data source type (not “Amazon RDS for Oracle”) and use the same authentication method in both places.
Once the gateway and Dataflow use the same Oracle connector type, the gateway should appear as expected.

Hello @nrqz,
We hope you're doing well. Could you please confirm whether your issue has been resolved or if you're still facing challenges? Your update will be valuable to the community and may assist others with similar concerns.
Thank you.
Hello @v-ssriganesh
I appreciate your reply. Unfortunately I am still facing issues. I am not able to create a normal Oracle PBI gateway for this Oracle SQL Server which uses SSH. I believe I need to place the SSH host on the server which hosts my Power BI on-prem gateway. I am going to troubleshoot this more this week.
More answers from people who have knowledge about SSH connections to the PBI server would be very much appreciated.
