First of all, many thanks to @RossEdwards for you very quick and efficient reply, and I'll add a few things below:
You can connect to the data source you need in the DATA option, create the report on desktop, publish to service, it is necessary to mention here that, depending on the connection mode, you need to configure the gateway in order to display the report properly on the service.

You need to download Power BI Desktop and create your Tabular Model there. Its free to download from Microsoft.
Power BI Online has some options to do this as well but its not as fully featured as Power BI Desktop.
