Topic is : How can i provider access to Guest users (External Org) so they can access shared semantic model in their tenant with their licence only.
as a provider we should not provide them licence, as they are the dataset consumer they should use their own PPU/ pro licence.
I am working on an use-case in which we need to share data set (Semantic Model) with guest users that doesn't belong to our organization. So for that purpose I have added them in our azure active directory as Guest users and in this way they can now access those dataset's but in
Tab.
however we will not provide those users licences, they must user their own licences assigned by their Orgs .So for that can you kindly guide me that what step are to be taken in order to have those users to use Their organization pro account instead.
Also,
how can i let external (outside org ) user to use their Power BI Pro/ PPU license to access semantic model shared by us ? what are the steps ?
as currently what i want is
I have PPU Licence , and i shared semantic model with external user (ext org), now external user is able to see that semantic model in
Tab.
when he tried clicking on semantic model he is getting redirected to another page, where tenantid is Provider one.
and on that page he is not able to access dataset as there is no License type mapped.
now case is , end user has its PowerbI Account licence, but once he is clicking on dataset, tenant is changing and his workspace location changes to providers tenant, where he don't have any licence mapped.
what should I do ?
or otherwise pls provide me steps to share semantic model to user which is outside organization.

Hi, @omkar_patil_644
May I ask if your problem has been solved, you can check with your user to see if they have a PPU license to help you troubleshoot the problem, in your screenshot you can see that the user has PPU privileges, everything works fine on my end, and I'm not sure what's going on on your end, you can try to re-invite the external user to make sure that it's not a configuration issue; if it's possible, you can create an external account and assign Pro or If you can, you can create an external account and assign Pro or PPU privileges to it to make sure it's not a problem with your operation. If you can, you can create an external account and assign Pro or PPU permissions. Please refer to the following link for the steps.

for consumer who need's to purchase licence ,provider or consumer company, as consumer is able to see Semantic model in provider's tenant only.
Explanation
I have PPU License, and i added that user as guest user on azure AAD and now, i have shared sementic model with user.
End user is working with ABC corp, and has powerBI license assigned from their ORG. and that is also PPU.
now, he is not able to see my shared semantic model in his powerBI datahub, he is able to find that in "From External Orgs" Option on home page.
now when tries opening this dataset, he is getting redirected to new chrom tab, where on URL he can see Provider TenantID. Also he is not able to build any report based on that semantic model as , he is not able to see any licence there.
in this who, needs to share license with that user, Provider Org or consumer Org ?
If the user is assigned a PPU license then why it is showing
Please verify with him
