How To Set-up a windows based local server as a home for raw data/reports for Power BI

Hi - We have a central server that is windows based (not SQL) where we house files/data today.  It has a basic firewall requiring users to login with a password.  I want to use this to house a shared folder for several team members to upload raw data reports that will be pulled automatically by Power BI.  How can I set this up so that I can use 'get data' to populate the Power BI projects we've created.  Thank you!

Hi @NSain1 ,

Do you want to implement refresh data from shared folder automatically? If so, you could try to place the shared folder to Onedrive and SharePoint. Alternatively, to manage a dateway and  set scheduled referesh for it. If not, can you please describe more clearly?

Best Regards,

Xue
