Help with PowerBi Web to Desktop

Hi All,

Below is the help I need on PowerBi Web to Powerbi Desktop.

I have created a report/dashboard on app.powerbi.com with my organization credentials. I had created the Datasets from my Excel spreadsheets and also created reports and dashboards on the web portal.

I have a PowerBi desktop app. I want to see above dashboard or reports I have created in web on my Desktop app.

How do I bring the one created on web into the desktop app.

Hi @Anonymous ,

To get the changes from the web you will have to download the .pbix file from the Service to your Desktop.  Then you will be able to do as you need with the file in the Desktop.

I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please contact your administrator to check if he has turned off the ability to export data in Power BI admin portal.

And take a look at the official document associated with downloading a .pbix file from the Power BI service for reference.
