I cant login to my power bi because my authenticator app was on my phone which was stolen
Hello @belivin,
If your phone was stolen and Microsoft Authenticator was your only verification method, you will not be able to complete MFA to sign in to Power BI.
For a work or school account, you must contact your Microsoft 365 or IT administrator and ask them to reset your multi-factor authentication in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). The admin can reset your authentication methods so you can sign in and re-register MFA on your new device. Microsoft documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/authentication/howto-mfa-userdevicesettings
If you are the only admin, try signing in using any alternate authentication method you previously configured (SMS, alternate email, hardware key). If no alternate method exists, you will need to open a Microsoft support ticket for account recovery. Support guidance: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/support/
After regaining access, reconfigure Microsoft Authenticator on the new phone and add at least one backup authentication method to prevent lockout in the future.
Hi @belivin ,
Log in into the Microsoft account portal and configure the new authentication method and delete the existing one
https://account.microsoft.com/security
go to My Accounts -> Security info ->Add sign in -> Auth
