Hi,
Have followng scenario.
several shops and when sales at a shop recah a certain level then the shop power bi user shoudl get an e-mail alert.
Each shop can see only their own sales and row level security has been set up for this and works .O.K.
Can also login indivdiually as a shop user and set alert via dahsboard tile but don't wantto have to ask each shop user to set up thro own data driven e-mail alert ideally. Would be better of we coudl set this globally such that e-amil alerts sent to any shop where sales above a ceratin threshhold but only those shops.
How can this best be achieved. Also are data driven alerts only possible on dahsboard cards, guages and kpi cards or can they be also set at report level somehow?
Thanks
Hi @po ,
No, you can't set a global alert like you are asking about natively in Power BI. However, you can use Flow/Automate to create alerts and to make them "filter" like you are asking for certain shops and certain alerts.

Hi,
Do you have any links as to how this woudl operate Aware of flow but never used can imagine scneario described woudl be quite common and guess someone has implemented similar with flwo already?
Thanks

Hi,
If user sets their own data alert in app e.g sales over 1000 then they only get e-mail and row level security set in power bi correctly works
e.g shop1 sales 500
shop2 sales 1002
each sets a data alert manually in the app for sales above 1000 only shop2 gets the e-mail as expected.
However, when set up flow/power bi automate based on data alert then shop1 1 and 2 both get the e-mail i.e. it doesn't consider row level security.
How can we set up the flow so it does consider row level security
have lots and lots of shop users and don't want to tell theam all to set their data alert manually.
Have set up flow for
How can we set up the filter such that
row level security works in power bi and if set data alerts indvidually they take account of rls.
Thanks
