We are not admins of our PowerBI tenant, so posting here...
This is happening for several datasets for reports we have published to powerbi.com. Managed Gateways shows the gateways for these as connected, but when we view settings for the datasets we get the error "Failed to Load Data Sources", example error contents:
Please note, we have tried deleting the reports, then re-publishing. They will work for a time, then the above error starts occurring again.
Hi @ianmariano ,
You mentioned that you are not the tenant admin, you may be able to do a few things but if this keeps coming up, you may end up needing a ticket. Since you can get to the gateways, when you try "test connection" it works fine? If so, then that leads me to believe that the issue could be in the report.
If it is the report, can you confirm that the desktop file and the gateway are both updated with the latest and greatest versions? (They often need to be in sync for everything to work correctly long term.) Also, does your report have anything "interesting" in it that might be causing a hiccup - like ODBC connectors or R script or other connections that require bits to be installed on the gateway machine?
