Hi All,
While trying to create gateway connection for excel file which is available in network path we are receiving the invalid connection credentials as shown in below screenshot and i also ensured with network admin that the Power BI service account is added to the AD group having access to the excel file and also i checked with spellings of the network drive it was correct only. I don't know where the issue happening. Could anyone help me on this. Thanks in advance,
Note: Access will provide through adding Power BI service account to the respective AD group having access to the excel file which is available in network drive.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The Power BI Service account plays no role in consuming gateway connections. Instead, set up the connection credentials as necessary. You may also want to switch from a file connection to a folder connection. Or you may want to place the Excel file on a OneDrive in which case you don't need a gateway at all.
