I've published a Power BI report from the 64 bit Desktop to PowerBI.com. I added the datasource from a Office 64 bit environment. It accesses a MS Access database which is stored on a server. When I try to refresh the semantic model I get the following error. If I refresh it from the PBI desktop on my PC it refreshes without an error. Can anyone help me with this issue?
Data source error: {"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Microsoft Access: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. Hi @U156531
What do you have to do is download and instal the 64 bit version of the access database on your Power BI gateway virtual machine. Once that is done you should be able to successfully refresh via the service.
