Gen 2 capacity metrics API datasource

Hi,

I was wondering if is an API available to extract gen 2 capacity metrics data (such as cpu utilization etc). I am trying to see if there is a way to extract from API and store it into sql server database.

Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks,

Hi,

If you are an adminstrator of the Premium Capacity then you should be able to see the Gen2 metrics App dataste in the workspace. If you have access to the dataset then you try to use Execute queries REST API and extract the data using DAX query and store it in databse.

I never tried this before but I hope this will work as long as we have dataset with proper permission.

Thanks

Hari

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I have a requirement to develop our own metrics to measure gen 2 capacity instead using Premium Capacity Metrics. I am looking to see if there is a API to extract the underlying data that the Premium Capacity Metrics had.

Thanks

Hi

I dont see any option to build our own. At max we can collect premium workspace logs from Azure Log Analytics but resources can be captured only from premium capacity metrics app only.

Thanks

Hari
