Hello,
I have a gateway connection to SQL Server database set up that is scheduled to refresh every night at midnight. I've quickly found out that if my computer is not on, the gateway connection does not work. How do I go about fixing this?
I read that a DirectQuery connects to a source and is always up-to-date. Does that mean if my computer isn't on and someone in my company who doesn't have an enterprise account looks at the report the data will automatically refresh?
Thanks,
Greg

You shouldn't install a gateway on a computer, such a laptop, that may be turned off, asleep, or not connected to the Internet because the gateway can't run under any of those circumstances.

Herbert
