Hi Guys,
I have a report that is pulling data from the cloud and no gateway is required. The report has been refreshing every day without any issues. A colleague made a change to the report and took over the dataset, once he did this he was unable to re-enable the scheduled refresh and is being prompted to install a personal gateway. Right now I have a report that can't be refreshed and will have some unhappy users in the morning. I have took back control of the dataset but I also can't re-enable the scheduled refresh.

Can you take a wider screenshot of the gateway connections? Also, what exactly did your colleague change? It seems to me that they added another data source or changed the data source, but hard to say. Maybe in the pbix file, take a look at the data source settings to ensure they are what you expect.

You are absolutely correct @blopez11 , I replied to another user above to say that he had added an excel file as a source but instead of putting it on sharepoint he was trying to connect to his desktop 🙄
Hey @JimJim ,
If you took back control and still don't see the options for the gateway in the service, I would try re-publishing the file from your desktop. That might "reset" the settings. If that doesn't work, then confirm that you (and the other user) have access to the appropriate data sources.

@collinq thank you for your response but my whole post was a waste of time. My colleague was connecting to an excel file from his desktop which was why the service was trying to set up a gateway. We moved the file to sharepoint and the issue is now resolved.
Hey @JimJim ,
Great to hear it wasn't too complicated! 🙂
