Hi All,
I just installed Power BI Gateway to our windows server2012R2. Now I am trying to add a data source. Our data source is provided by our head office overseas and it's a cube. We use live cube connnection to build our reports here. This is the error message I got when I was trying to add this data soure:
Unable to connect: We encountered an error while trying to connect to . Details: "We could not register this data source for any gateway instances within this cluster. Please find more details below about specific errors for each gateway instance."
Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this?
Many thanks,
Eddie
hi,
go to the gateway cluster settings and test the cluster connection.
you will get "Online; good to go" status when gateway cluster is working fine.
NOTE : Please don't use live connection mode, use the direct query when connecting to the dataset (Cube).
this mode will give you flexibilty to make measures, columns, and other features which you might need once you start building your reports.
Hope this will help
