Gateway Connection Issue:

I have added a website url as a gateway and the connection to it is successful. However, when I go to "schedule refresh", I cannot select the web gateway I have created, only "personal gateway", which is my own computer.

Moreover, the data source credentials still show me 2 excel files that I had once uploaded as datasets and later removed. 

Help is appreciated.

I can't restore your specific steps, you can see my actions.

Step1，configure gateway（I only started the standard gateway on the PC client):

Step2,create report base on the web url and publish then,see the below ,the gateway is what I configure before:

You can try to select a new web url and follow my steps to try it, I hope this is useful for you.
