Do you have information about size of data over weekend or are there other jobs running on same datasource ?
If weekend refreshes frequently time out, a common cause is that the dataset takes too long to process, exceeding Power BI’s refresh threshold in Pro (2 hours) or Premium (5 hours) environments
Another factor can be added strain on the data source at certain times, especially with concurrent weekend batch jobs or server downtime
Hope this helps

Hi @Swathi1 ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
As the error message indicates it might be transient, please wait a few minutes, then try refreshing the model again. Additionally, here are some troubleshooting steps:
- If you have control over the timeout settings, consider increasing the timeout duration for the operation. This can often be set in the connection string or the settings of the tool you are using.
- Monitor the server where the database is hosted. Look for high CPU, memory, or disk usage that might be causing slowdowns. If applicable, consider scaling resources (e.g., upgrading the server or optimizing the database).
- Review the queries being run during the refresh. Look for any that could be optimized for better performance. Ensure that indexes are properly set on the database tables being queried.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as rebuilding indexes and updating statistics to ensure optimal performance.
This error may result from expired cached credentials. Clear your browser cache, sign in to Power BI, and visit https://app.powerbi.com?alwaysPromptForContentProviderCreds=true to update your credentials. Data refresh failures can also be due to expired cached credentials.
I am also including troubleshooting refresh scenarios for your reference, please look into it.
