Hi All,
We have several reports that sits in the same Premium (P2) workspace. These reports have been published to an APP. One free user reported that he cannot view one of reports in the APP. and he is able to view the rest of them.
There is no RLS applied to the reports.
Any ideas why this is happening.
Cheers,
Tanya
Hi All,
We've worked with MS and figured out the root casue. We need to allow Free user group to use 'XMLA endpoint' feature, it is a tenant level setting.
Hope this will help others with similar issue.
Cheers,
Tanya
Hi @selimovd ,
Thanks for your response.
Yes, he can access the app. When he opens the report, it shows 'can't display the visual' on each visual, please see the attached screenshot.
once click on the 'see details', the following message will pop up.
Report A represents the report the user cannot see the visuals, the dataset (Dataset 2) of this report is connecting to a Power BI dataset (Dataset 1) using DirectQuery,
the rest of reports (Report B,C,&D - the user can see all the visuals, with no issue) that published to the app were created based on Dataset 1.
Report A is the only report that shows 'can't disply visual' for this user.
Cheers,
Tanya
Hey @bbtz ,
can other users see the report withou any errors?
If that's the case please make sure the user has proper access to both datasets.
Also when you reply, don't forget to mark me with @selimovd , otherwise I will not be notified about your reply.

Hey @bbtz ,
this means he can access the app, right?
What does then "cannot view one of reports in the APP" mean? Either he can access he app or not. What happens when he clicks on the report? Does he get an error?
A little bit more details would be helpful.
Best regards
Denis
