So I have several reports that I have created with PowerBi Desktop that uses excel files from a set of folders on our share drive and published to a workspace online. I set up a gateway and pointed it to a datasource that goes to the exact folder set I used when I created the report, and set up a scheduled refresh. However, I found out today that even though the schedule refresh runs it doesn't pull back any new data. If I open report online in edit mode and run the refresh manually that works and pulls in the latest data, but the scheduled refresh will not work. I'm sure I've set something up incorrectly here. can anyone tell me what I might have done wrong?
So I tried this and it worked for about 1/3 of my reports. The others I just had to refresh on the desktop app and then re-publish them.

It sounds like you have got everything setup correctly.
In order to see new changes from data in your report, you either have to refresh the report page, or interact (click on something) in the report to see the new changes.
