Hello,
I recently started working with the admin monitoring tool of Power BI service. I'm trying to use the Feature Usage and Adoption semantic model by a direct query connection to create my own report. First I'm developing it using my sandbox tenant and I get the following columns when accesing the Fabric Items table:
Once, I have the report ready with visuals like most consumed dashboards/reports by user using the User access count native column I realise this column doesn't exist in my production tenant:
And this is not the only difference, there are also different Operation values in Audit table when I tried to develop a workaround using the viewReport Operation of this table. Why this such differences? Maybe because this is a preview feature and changes are being made?
Hi @jfer
Sandbox and production environments might have different configurations or settings enabled. This can lead to variations in available columns and data.
The data in your sandbox might not be as up-to-date or synchronized with the production environment. This can cause differences in the data you see, including missing columns or different operation values.
Ensure that the permissions and access levels are consistent across both environments. Sometimes, certain data or features might be restricted based on user roles or permissions.

Please compare the configurations and settings of both your sandbox and production tenants, and ensure that both environments are synchronized and up-to-date with the latest data.

Hi @Anonymous
I call it sandbox tenant but it's a normal instance like the production tenant but just used to make tests so there's not sync between data. It is not very common that there are differences between fields of these tenants if the semantic model of the feature usage and adoption report should be the same for all Power BI tenants, also settings of both tenants are the same, there's only differences between semantic models, reports and workspaces. Can you confirm this is a preview feature and some fields may just appear in some tenants?
I'm trying to create a report similar to the old Usage Metrics but I'm finding problems to get the information https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/admin/service-admin-portal-usage-metrics
