Exporting from power bi to excel taking too long...

I try to export from app.powerbi to excel and it never completes… I waited for at least 20’ and is still loading, how can I troubleshoot this?

Perhaps, can I put a filter to whatever I am downloading?

There are multiple reason behind this

1. Data volume is hudge - Yes applying filter will help

2. Network speed (Consider VPN Bottleneck) - try to connect different VPN is available

Also you can try analyze in excel feature with large data volume

Hi  @Anonymous ,

Usually, it should not spend more than one minute to export data with large dataset. For you scenario, please check if your report contains too much data and complex report definition. Also check if the network is under heavy load. You can try to clear the cache of web browser. And re-publish the report to service for a test.
