Hi @Rogaard ,
If I understand your requirements correctly, you need to export data with a live connection. To do this, you can use the 'Analyze in Excel' option, which allows your semantic model to maintain a live connection within Excel.
Alternatively, if you want to perform ad hoc analysis in the service, you can use the 'Explore Data' feature. This lets you either create a blank report or explore existing data, where you can drag and drop columns and measures to build the visuals you need.
Thanks

Hi again @Natarajan_M
I still can not find this place 👇
When I go to the binoculars I see these 👇
If I select Explore this data, 👇
What is it that I am not seeing?
Hi @Rogaard , you are in the explore table preview mode in the semantic model layer there you can connect to the semantic model in live connection . But in report you dont have an live connection option .
Please refer to the below Msft documentation :
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-export-data?tabs=powerbi-d...
Hi @Natarajan_M my problen is that I do not see this explore table anymore.
When I click on the sematic model I see this view and it changed for two weeks ago.
This is what I see when I qlick on the semantic model
Maby someone in my organisation has changed som settings I do know? 🤔
Maby it is just me who have lost it. 😩
Thanks for all the help.
I see I could be a bit more specific.
The option I am missing is the Export function of one tabel.
See the attached pictures.
Hover over the table or matrix visual.
Click the … (More options) in the top-right of the visual.
Look for: "Export data"
The answers above plus you need build permission to dataset.

Hi,
First on Desktop file make sure 'More Options' is switched on under Header Icons, Property.
Then 'Hide the visual header in reading view' box is NOT checked for both Option on desktop file and setting in Service.
Then the '...' would appear on top right corner of the visual with Export feature.
Hi @Rogaard ,
The export option can be disabled at the tenant or file level check that setting with your admin .
Please follow the below documentation for more details
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-export-data?tabs=powerbi-d...
Select the visual -> 3 dots -> export data
