Export summarized data impossible with turning off connection to the app's underlying datasets

Hi,

I turned off option in the Power BI Service: allow app users to connect to the app's underlying datasets using the Build permission. As a consequence it is impossible simultaneously to Allow end users to export  summarized  data from the Power BI Service.

Is there a way to export data from the visualization without simultaneously connection to the app's underlying datasets? Without this possibility additional option: turning off connection to the underlying data set  is not useful for my goal.

Best regards, Kasia

Hi,

I read that that requirement to export data is to have Build permission for the underlying dataset.

But what in the case the end user wants to have cvs/excel file with only summarized data (instead of rewriting them) from the vizualization\table (no need to have underlying data)?

My goal is blocking excel with underlying data but  enabling summarized\aggregated data in excel\csv.
