Hello everyone! Hope that someone can help me.
I need to export data automatically from PBI report in an excel file using Power Automate. Then I want to add a step of sending this file via email. The thing is that my model in visual studio (hosted in analysis service).
Is it possible? Every time I've tried, I've got an error. I will be grateful if you share steps how to do it.

Hi @ann_n ,
I understand. Unfortunately, it's not possible as of yet to export that to excel through Power Automate. You can only export the entire report, not single visuals, to PDF or PPT and only if you are on a Premium Capacity. It won't work on a Pro or PPU license either.
When we are in the same boat as you, we simply build a paginated report for that purpose specifically. You can build Paginated reports based on a Power BI dataset, so maybe that's an option for you too!
What kind of report are you trying to export to Excel? That only works with paginated reports.
To be precise, on a report page I have a table. And I need data from this table. It is not a paginated report.
Hi there @ann_n ,
I wanted to revisit your question because we have since found a few other solutions that might help you out too. Next to creating a paginated report and exporting that to Excel through Power Automate, you can also query the dataset through Power Automate, then parse the data and insert the rows into an Excel table (on Sharepoint). You can find a nice video about that here.
Cheers!
