Export Data Option Not Available. Is available in Edit Mode.

Hi,

I have a report on PowerBI which has a table. In non-edit mode on PowerBI Service, when I hover on this table I dont get the 3 dots which has Export Data option (as shown below).

However, when i edit the report in browser and then when i hover on table, i can see 3 dots which contain export data option

I have played with export data option on PowerBI service at report level and changed it to different values but no luck. Please help. A client is struggling with this.

Hi. That's not an exporting issue. That's because the header icons were hidden in the development. The report has a setting to hide the icons in there for all visuals. In addition, there is also an option at any visual format settings that will let you configure header icons for each visual for each icon. You can hid the three dots, or maybe the full screen, etc. You can read about them in here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-visual-elements-for-reports#using-...

If all visuals are not showing the buttons on the top I would say this was disabled for the whole report (report setting), if only the table doesn't have the buttons, then it was disable in the formatting options of the table.

I hope that helps,

Thanks a lot ibarrau. The "Header icons" were off for those visuals. You have saved me hours of effort.
