I have a data source of an excle binary file type in onedrive. I have successfully create a report and published in Power BI service.
But if i try to refresh from Power BI service. It shows the error sign with errors:
"Processing errorExcel Workbook: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.
The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file.
To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987."
Although i have installed everything it asked, it does not work.
I can do same thing for xlsx file type but cannot do for xlsb file type, why ?

In conclusion, Excel binary file type cannot be refresh from Power BI service. But I found the way out, we can refresh it using Gateway. Although Gateway is not necessary for Onedrive files, but for binary file type it is helpful.
Hi.
I know it's a little bit late, but I just solved this problem installing the Microsoft Access Database Engine on the Data Gateway server:

Hope this information helps someone.
Hi @HariBP ,
Power BI supports importing or connecting to workbooks created in Excel 2007 and later. Workbooks must be saved as .xlsx or .xlsm file type and be under 1 GB. Some features described in this article are only available in later versions of Excel.

Hi @HariBP
The XLSB is not supported for refreshing in Power BI.
You will need to convert it to XLSX to get it to successfully refresh.
