I refresh a number of excel data models using the power bi service.
As of this week, after the refresh the model is broken, meaning the workbook crashes (completely closes excel without any error message) when I either try open power pivot or try to open power query.

Hi @Alan_ ,
You can try creating a new excel data model and refreshing it to see if the problem occurs with this new excel data models, or you can try creating it in another workspace.
Best Regards
Lucien
