Error Retrieving data from Redshift through Live Query

Dear Community,

I have connected Redshift into powerBI Desktop and published the report after some transformation. Initially there were some error suggesting Split or extract columns needs to be in Import mode while i have connected in Live query. I have cleared it and published with minimal transformation in a star schema structure.

After publishing the report into Power bi service i could see some of the visuals are throwing error "Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Please try again later"  while some are working. Also there is error on refreshing semantic model "This data source extenstion is missing credentials. Add the data source credentials by using the dataset settings page".

ODBC: ERROR [08S01] [Microsoft][Amazon Redshift] (10) Error occurred while trying to connect: [SQLState 08S01] timeout expired

I have checked the credential which looks fine. Please advise on this to understand whats going wrong.

Thank you

Hi, @Fazil_Mohamed

For this problem, you should go to the semantic model configuration interface and configure a credential for the data source used. If you use multiple data sources, you need to configure credentials for all of them. Here is a step-by-step demonstration:

You have checked your credentials, which is good. These credentials need to be consistent with your latest Amazon Redshift credentials. Please verify your latest Amazon Redshift configuration information. The following case has the same error as yours:

Solved: Can not connect to amazon redshift database - time... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Solved: Data Connection: timeout expired - Microsoft Fabric Community
