Dynamic Subscription - report with slicer

Hi,

I've set up dynamic subscription with my report that contains data for multiple departments. Mail is to be send out to each department mailaddress that contains their data.

In the report I am using the slicer (new) visual, where following options are enabled:

Single select

Force selection

Result is that only the mail containing report for the 1st departement is ok, all other mails send out the report is empty.

It looks like the option Force selection in the slicer (new) is always selecting the 1st departement even if dynamic subscription is filtering the data for another departement. Is this working like intented? I would expect the Force selection to take into account the filtering done in dynamic subscription...

Regards

Hi, @Johny1981

You can enable the Include my changes feature to include updates you make to filters, focus, drilldown status, and more.

I think you can refer to the following blog:

Power BI Dynamic Subscription: Send Scheduled Report Filtered for Everyone's Data Automatically - RA...

You mentioned that only the 1st departement is ok. Other departments received blank emails. The main reason is that the filter context formed by the conditions set in the dynamic subscription and the conditions selected in the slicer is empty.

If you need the slicer to automatically vary based on the department, I think you need to set up an RLS based on different department IDs.
