Embed in a public website - Microsoft may display the report on a public website

Hi Community,

Currently we are curious about the next message when shared a report with the options of Embed in a public website.

What's that mean, Microsoft has access to our reports and they publish into a website or a public Gallery? Thanks all.

Kind regards 👋

Microsoft may theoretically end up publishing the report in a gallery such as:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Galleries/ct-p/PBI_Comm_Galleries

You can't rely on security by obscurity, Publish to Web is not meant for private or confidential data:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-publish-to-web

1. How to get your question answered quickly - good questions get good answers!
2. Learning how to fish > being spoon-fed without active thinking.
3. Please accept as a solution posts that resolve your questions.
