Edit report button does not work

We have users using the web version of power bi to view reports.  They need to edit said reports, how ever the "Edit report" button is greyed out.

What permissions are required to enable this button?

Hi there

It depends on how the users have got access to the reports.

If they have got access via an App, there are no permissions allowing them to edit the report.

If they got access via the App Workspace it will depend on the Role that they have in the App Workspace.

If they got access via Sharing, it will be read-only too.

Hi @chriskoh ,

If you view reports via App Workspace, you could try to assign three roles to users: admin, member and contributorFor more details, you could reference the document: Roles in the new workspaces. Once users have access to create, edit, and delete content in the workspace, the button will enable. Then  users can edit the reports.
