Edit Credentials Option in Power BI Services NOT showing

Hi, I would like to know how can I edit the credentials of my data sources:

For some reason, the option "Edit Credentials" is not showing, as in other cases were showing just fine:

And I cand land on the right page to solve this. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Rafael

I can't figure out how to see the "Data Source" option in the Gateway Configuration window. My user (Administrador PBI) already has credentials as PBI Admin:

Nevertheless, when I go to the Gateway configuration on PBI Service with my account, I can't see the data source option:

Any ideas?

Hi @RafaelYanEZPZ

This is because in the Gateway there is a data source connection already created.

Chat to your Power BI Admin/Gateway Admin to help fix your errors. I do think they would need to add your account to the data source.

Thank you GilbertQ, my point is how can I edit the credentials? I know the gateway already have the source connections. But I changed the password to access SharePoint, and I can't update those credentials in Power BI Service.

I tried to add a new connection for one of my existing data sources. From the image below, you can see that in the back all the data source connections are shown, so definitely there must be a way, but I haven't found a way to land on this page (there is no menu, option or button available):

A solution I found was to configure new connections to my existing data sources in the Gateway, which worked just fine, but I think there must be a way to update the existing connections rather than create new ones each time I change the password to access my files.

Thank you,

Rafael
