Dynamic data refresh( REST API call) based on slicer drop-down selected value

We want to develop reports which connects to different REST endpoints. In that report we need a dropdown slicer (column value) and when that slicer dropdown value is selected it should call another API with that selected value as query parameter.

Is there a way to achieve this in Power BI? Something like Live query using REST APIs.

Hi there I would suggest if you want to achieve something like this, you would have to look at using Power Apps and even potentially Microsoft Flow (which can be called from a Power App). This could then be integrated into a Power BI report using the Power Apps Custom Visual.

That is really cool but can I develop reports( Area chart, Stacked chart) in Power Apps similar to Power BI?

I mean when I change the dropdown value it should call an API and change the Area chart values. How can I acheive this?

Hi @ksivaganesh99

Currently as far as I am aware that is not possible in Power BI
