Hello. I setup a semantic model with a distribution list for the new dynamic subscription function. I am able to set up the subscription without error, mapping my filters and email addresses. The semantic model is based off an Excel file we are storing in Sharepoint. The model updates fine and is working as intended. However, the subscription itself throws an error when running and I cannot determine why or how to fix. This is the error I receive via email when attempting to run the subscription:
DataDrivenSubscriptionPreProcessingError An internal error is preventing the subscription from proceeding: PowerBI service client received error HTTP response. HttpStatus: 400. PowerBIErrorCode: OnPremiseModelAccessDenied |
Any thoughts? Though it says access denied, I do not understand why. I can access and update the model in the workspace, where I have admin rights.
Hi @esuing
Could it be the access denied is to the SharePoint file?
I think that as long as all the details are within a single semantic model it should work?
Hi, GilbertQ.
When I connect to the semantic model to create the subscription, it's able to access the fields just fine. I can map them to the Email address and filters for the subscriptions. I can also perform automatic refreshes on the semantic model without any program. I have a report attached to the model that also works without issue, so if there is an access permission issue, I cannot find it and it doesn't seem to affect anything else.
