Hi team,
I have checked the several topics already created about this subject but I didn't find the answer concerning that question:
I can add Distribution Group (DG) that are static in outlook, however I cannot add Dynamic Distribution Group (DDG).
The DGs are updated manually by their owner, the DDG are updated automatically based on location, organisation,...
Have you encountered this situation please? If yes, is there a way to use the DDG as RLS in power bi please?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Thank you for your reply. Is there any way to add a Distribution Group that is dynamic and get updated based on the characteristic of a profile on outlook? My issue here is that I have some static Distribution group but they need manual updates so I don't want to use them, and I have Dynamic Distribution Group that are automatically updated but I cannot use them.
Best Regards,
Hi @Kraftfood ,
In the Power BI service, you can add a member to the role by typing in the email address or name of the user or security group. You can't add Groups created in Power BI. You can add members external to your organization.
You can use the following groups to set up row level security.
Note, however, that Microsoft 365 groups aren't supported and can't be added to any roles.
For more details, you can read related document: Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
