Can someone explain why when I dropped the number of months my Semantic Model stores for incremental refresh that the size of the model didn't change? I used Tabular Editor to edit the number of months, dropped an entire year from it.
Hi,@Don-Bot
Regarding the issue you raised, my solution is as follows:
1.First, you can wait for a full refresh result: even if you reduce the number of months stored in the Tabular Editor, the actual data may not be deleted. An incremental refresh strategy may require a full refresh in the Power BI service to delete old data.

2.Of course, you can also choose to republish according to your needs, but you need to be aware that republishing will delete both the partition and the data.

3.Second, you can check if your Query caching causes the result. You can try turning query caching off and on first.

4.Finally, model complexity: Even if some data is removed, the complexity of the model (such as calculated columns, measures, and so on) may still affect the model size.
