Is there a way to temporarily remove user access or pull down a Power BI report if it needs maintance or there is a data issue? Is there some sort of work around for this if the feature does not exisit? We are hoping to find a way to keep people from accessing a report if the data is not correct. We could remove the access, but adding the access back would be cumbersome since people are individually added to reports.
Thank you!
hi, @Anonymous
You may try to use Row-level security (RLS) in a report.
here is some reference:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls
http://radacad.com/dynamic-row-level-security-with-manager-level-access-in-power-bi
http://radacad.com/row-level-security-configuration-in-power-bi-desktop
For example:
People could access report but couldn't see any data
Best Regards,
Lin
Hey @v-lili6-msft,
Thank you for your suggestions, but I believe this process would be extremely cumbersome as well given the number of users and reports to which the RLS would need to be applied.
Thank you!
